RONA is a Namibian-led, volunteer-driven nonprofit organisation dedicated to expanding better access to quality education and opportunity for underprivileged children and youth.
In Namibia, too many children face barriers to education from poverty to lack of access and resources. We’re here to change that.
Founded in 2015 by a group of passionate young women, RONA was born from a simple belief: every Namibian child deserves a fair chance to learn, grow, and succeed.
Through our programmes, we make sure children have the resources, confidence, and support to stay in school and dream bigger.
Where we show up, and why it matters.
We believe every Namibian child deserves a fair chance at school, in their community, and in life. Everything we do is built around four key areas where we know we can make a real difference.
Every child who works hard deserves to be recognized. Through our Star Performer Awards, we travel to rural schools to celebrate the top learners in each grade giving out trophies, certificates, and school supplies to show them their effort matters.
Starting a new school year should feel like an opportunity, not a worry. Our Back to School Project donates school uniforms to learners at remote and rural schools so they can walk in ready and proud.
Young people are full of potential, they just need the right support and someone in their corner. Through our Mentorship and Career Guidance Program, we run job readiness training and career path sessions to help youth make confident choices about their futures.
Through our partnership with the Her Voice Fund, we support adolescent girls and young women living with HIV/AIDS in speaking up, being heard, and leading conversations that affect their lives. We also host our annual NGO Seminar, bringing civil society organisations together to share knowledge, build partnerships, and strengthen how we all serve our communities.
