For many children across Namibia, the school year doesn’t begin with excitement, it begins with worry.
Worry about worn-out uniforms.
Worry about missing stationery.
Worry about fitting in among classmates who have more.
The Back2School Programme exists to lift that burden and give every child the chance to start the year with dignity, pride, and hope.
👟 A Fresh Start in Sauyemwa
In Sauyemwa Combined School, a group of 20 learners received complete Back2School packs that included uniforms, school shoes, backpacks, and essential stationery.
For some, it was their first time owning a brand-new pair of shoes.
One boy slipped on his new shoes and whispered,
“Now I can walk to school without feeling ashamed.”
That moment captured everything the programme stands for.
🌍 Reaching Communities Across Namibia
Over the years, RONA’s Back2School outreach has supported learners in communities such as:
- Sauyemwa
- Otavi
- Kombat
- Aus
- Katima Mulilo
- Rundu
Each visit reveals the same truth:
Children want to learn. They just need the tools to do so.
Teachers frequently tell us that school attendance improves immediately after the distributions. Learners participate more confidently. They raise their hands more often. They stop hiding at the back of the classroom.
Something as simple as a uniform can transform the entire school experience.
🎁 More Than Supplies, It’s Dignity
A Back2School pack is not just material support. It is:
- confidence to enter the classroom

For parents, it brings relief during a time when financial pressure is at its highest.
